News can be distorted, misleading, and become a tool to manipulate our thoughts, especially when politics are involved. On top of this, our point of view is often biased because of our echo chambers and language limitations.
NEUS is an app supported by the GDELT* Project. It allows people to access diverse news sources and hear from different voices across the world. It aims to eliminate the bias in news reports by erasing the limitations of language and nationality. Ultimately, it allows people to understand each other better.
*The GDELT Project is a real-time network diagram and database of global human society for open research. It is monitoring the world’s broadcast, print, and web news, covering nearly every corner of every country in over 100 languages. It identifies the people, locations, organizations, themes, sources, emotions, quotes, images and events driving our global society every second of every day.
